Autumnwood Homes, Inc. was founded in 1987 as a custom home builder in Central Ohio. After being in business for a few years, Autumnwood recognized a market demand to rent newly built homes while allowing flexibility to purchase. It was at this time that the Lease Purchase program was introduced, providing quality, well built homes and flexible purchase options for those who cannot immediately qualify to purchase a home. Between 1987 and 2007 Autumnwood built homes and offered them for sale, lease purchase and rent.
During the market downturn beginning in 2007, Autumnwood saw a unique opportunity to stabilize homes and neighborhoods that were impacted by foreclosures while adding to the portfolio of properties the company could offer for sale, lease purchase and rent. Autumnwood began purchasing distressed properties and invested money into the homes to bring them back to life. Over several years, this process helped stabilize neighborhoods and gave Autumnwood an opportunity to add additional floor plans and locations to the company’s offerings.
Today, with 30 years of experience, Autumnwood continues to purchase properties in need of repairs and takes great pride in this work while striving to positively impact the community one home at a time. The company also continues to build new homes for sale, lease purchase and rent.

Once you have selected and apartment from our ad that you'd like to see, feel free to drive by and check out the neighborhood, but please don't disturb the current tenants. We always meet our prospective tenants to show them the apartment, and never ask our current tenants to show their apartments. We charge a $32 fee on all applications. Most of our leases are for one year, and then go to a month-to-month tenancy thereafter, except in the OSU area, where all leases start with the academic year in August. Sometimes we will lease some units for a shorter term at a premium.
When you rent from us, you won't be dealing with a big, impersonal management company. We own, manage, renovate, and maintain all our own units.
